BPO are pleased to announce that the next open rehearsal for schoolchildren will take place on Sunday 5 March 2017 at Brighton Dome Concert Hall. In workshops leading up to the rehearsal, there will a be focus on George Enescu's Romanian Rhapsody No.1, a wonderful piece of music inspired by the vivid folk tunes of the composer's home country. The Great Escape (TGE) returned to Brighton in May and showcased 450 emerging artists from all over the world. SoundCity has developed a close partnership with TGE in recent years which has enabled young local talent to showcase their work. Well done to all performers who played in BHMA’s third BIG BRASS EVENT on Saturday 18 June. It was an impressive musical achievement by all the players, and a real celebration of brass playing.
