Big Brass Event 3 - the wait is nearly over………….. BHMA Brass Team organise a BBE every four years. In 2008 and 2012 we had nearly 100 young brass players take part in what was a fantastic celebration and showcase of brass playing across the city. ‘An amazing diversity of talent…’ Looking back on SoundCity 4
On 12 March 150 young musicians came together to perform for an audience of nearly 400 at the Corn Exchange. The incredibly talented young performers treated their audience to a festival in one night, with acts ranging from samba, a ukulele group, string ensemble and indie bands to a solo flute, electronic dance music and modern jazz. We held another successful house music classic concert on March 12th. Hosted by Conrad Brunner in his house in Queens Park, the evening raised just under £500 for encore and was a night to remember with a wonderful solo from flautist Anne Hodgson. Anne is part of Sussex Flutes and played with the BYO prior to studying at the Royal College of Music.
