SoundCity established in September 2012

SoundCity, the Brighton & Hove Music Education Hub, brings together the leading organisations for music in the city, with Brighton & Hove Music & Arts (part of Brighton Dome Brighton Festival) as lead partner. This partnership reflects the unique artistic and cultural landscape of the city, whose key mission is to enhance and further develop music education and opportunities that reflect the needs of children and young people. Alongside our colleagues in schools, our strategic partners are AudioActive, Glyndebourne, University of Sussex and representatives from Public Health and the Music Industry.

Awards for Young Musicians We believe that all musically talented young people – not just those from well off families - should have the opportunity to develop their talent . That’s why we’re here – to help young people with exceptional ability from lower income backgrounds.	The Belltree Music Therapy The Belltree Music Therapy Centre offers a professional music therapy service to people of all ages across Brighton and Hove, and Sussex counties.	Beat Goes On Beat Goes On deliver a range of percussion workshops for schools including STOMP-style Body Percussion, Samba Drumming, Body Percussion with Literacy (based on work with Pie Corbett), Junk Percussion and Boomwhackers & Bamboo Tamboo. They also deliver CPD sessions for music specialists and non-specialists, and can support schools with Arts Awards & Artsmark applications.
Brighton Institute of Modern Music BIMM is a prestigious modern music college specialising in full and part-time music courses taught by top musicians.	B&H Fostering & Adoption Services Brighton & Hove City Council's Fostering and Adoption Service is exceptional and we can offer you a wealth of valuable experience. We need more foster carers and adopters to work with our excellent team of professionals.	B&H Youth Offending Service The Youth Offending Service (YOS) works with over 350 young people and their families each year, taking referrals from the Police and Courts.

Brighton Early Music Festival Throughout the year, BREMF contributes to the vibrant arts scene in Brighton and Hove through its programme of workshops, choirs and schools projects.	Brighton Philharmonic Orchestra The Brighton Philharmonic Orchestra was formed by Herbert Menges in May 1925 as the Symphonic String Players ‘to become a large and powerful String Orchestra, and to give periodical concerts of a high standard in Brighton and Hove’.
Carousel Carousel is an award winning learning disability led arts organisation. Founded in 1982 Carousel works to promote the active involvement of people with a learning disability in the arts, teaching new artistic skills and developing existing talents. Our art provision is recognised nationally and internationally for its high quality and unique approach. Go Kid Music With children’s songwriter Al Start at the helm and inclusion at our heart, Go Kid Music have a unique musical offering. From whole-school memberships to one-off bespoke sessions they bring topics alive with original songs. Early Years through Primary - Go Kid Music are all about creative learning through singing.	Greater Brighton Met College Greater Brighton Met College's modern and diverse facilities mean that they attract around 9,000 students each year, making the MET a great place to study. The MET's courses focus on preparing you for work and they have excellent links with over 600 employers in the Brighton area.	RedZebra RedZebra uses music, dance and creativity to designs projects and workshops that are inspirational and unforgettable.

With a focus on education, networking and celebrating dance music.	CoMA - Contemporary Music for All Delivery Partner CoMA helps schools, festivals, amateur orchestras and choirs get started with contemporary music. CoMA is committed to quality participation led by inspiring professional musicians, using a flexibly scored repertoire which includes works emplying graphic notation and aleatoric elements as well as standard notation.
Drum United Supporter Our main goal is to provide affordable / accessible community events and projects for young people and disadvantaged people.	The Pebble Trust Based in Brighton and Hove, the Pebble Trust is set up to provide support for local causes and local people. Since 2009, we have made donations to numerous local charities and have successfully launched the Pebble Trust Talent Grants scheme, which provides financial assistance to local young people, enabling them to develop exceptional talents. Music & Arts Lead Partner Our service is part of Brighton & Hove City Council's Children and Young People's Trust. We provide a holistic range of music and arts education and performance opportunities for children and young people across the city and we also offer curriculum support to our colleagues in schools.
